In Kenichira, the heavy rain and wind caused significant crop damage. The summer rain intensified in the region after noon on Vishu day. The accompanying strong winds contributed to the widespread destruction. Just a few days ago, Kozhikode and Wayanad had also experienced heavy rain and strong winds. The hilly regions received rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning. Four days ago, a tree fell on the Thamarassery Pass during the rains, disrupting traffic.
