Black Caucus members in Congress unite in opposition to Thanedar
April 20 :
The Congressional Black Caucus has made history by publicly opposing Indian American Congressman Shri Thanedar and announcing their support for his Democratic primary opponent, Adam Hollier.
For Michigan, Thanedar makes history as the state's first Indian American representative. He ended a 67-year run by a Black Michigander for the seat of Detroit in 2022 with a 47-point victory over his Republican opponent.
In the Democratic primaries, Steven Horsford and Joyce Beatty, the former chair of the Black Caucus, declared their endorsement of Adam Hollier on April 19.
