Arjun Bijlani: 'One should be grounded, I have an attitude of gratitude'
New Delhi, Dec 19
Actor Arjun Bijlani, who is currently seen hosting the dating-based reality show 'Splitsvilla X4', got candid about the show garnering a good response and how the wild card entries are going to make the game more exciting.
He said: "The show is getting a very good response. Various contestants are adding to the spice and drama in the reality show. Working with Sunny Leone is fantastic. 'Splitsvilla' is one show which youth connects with and that matters. Aspiration for reality shows is that there and 'Spilitisvilla' is in the wish list of newcomers. This was my first time for this youth-based reality show and I am looking forward to doing more seasons."
Arjun added that the audience is now more intelligent.
"The entertainment industry has evolved. The content exposure is fantastic. Audiences are very intelligent now and they like realistic stories, be it thrillers or emotion. Romantic stories are still liked and so is comedy. What will work or will not work is surely unpredictable now. Makers surely make a project with the intention to win the audience's heart. But there is no fixed formula for a project's success," he said.
Whether he is satisfied with his career, he said: "My best projects were 'Left Right Left', 'Miley Jab Hum Tum', and 'Naagin 2'. These shows made a difference in my career. Hosting 'Dance Deewane' and now 'Splitsvilla' have added to my career. 'Roohaniyat' also made a difference. No ambitious actor is ever satisfied with one's career but I am content with the way my career is going on. I have an attitude of gratitude about whatever I do. I have got good opportunities. I am blessed to constantly get the right opportunities."
He added: "I love acting as well as hosting. I love my work. I treat every day as a fresh day and work with the same enthusiasm."
One should be very conscious before choosing any project and try never to play similar characters or take the same kind of work, he said.
"I do feel sometimes work can get monotonous. One needs to be careful while deciding their opportunities and one should always give their best with a fresh attitude and energy. I do feel I have a work life balance."
"When I am on the set, I am actor Arjun Bijlani. And when I am home, I am a husband, son and a father. One should be grounded and humble. One should not take success and fame to one's head," he concluded.
