The cosmic beauty named Candy is moving to New York

Harnaaz 21, is the daughter of Pritam Singh Sandhu, a real estate businessman in Chandigarh, and Ravinder Kaur, a gynecologist. She is the youngest child in the Harnaaz family. The family has its roots in Batala, Punjab.

'We are a Jat Sikh family, she is the youngest in the family and the only daughter,' she told reporters at her home in Shivalik City, Sector 125, Chandigarh. They distributed laddu to all those who came with congratulations. Earlier, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra were among those who congratulated Harnaaz.

Harnaaz's   mother, who works at Sohana Hospital, went to the gurudwara   to pray for her daughter.

"There are only boys on the father's side, so when a daughter was born, we named her Harnaaz, which means 'pride for all'." Kaur said.
As a child, Harnaaz was an all-rounder.  When the first beauty pageant came, she was reluctant to tell her dad, fearing how it would turn out. But he gave all his support. His comment was, "Daddy's lion cub must roar like a lion."

DS Bedi, principal of Shivalik Public School in Mohali, said: "We are also proud of Harnaaz, who reaped pride for India through a rigorous experiment," Govt. College Principal Nisha Agarwal commented. Harnaaz graduated with a degree in Information Technology. .

Harnaaz was educated at the Shivalik Public School in Chandigarh (the common capital of Punjab and Haryana. She then studied at the Government College, Sector 42. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Punjab.

Harnaaz is a model in Chandigarh and an actress in Punjabi films. Harnaaz has received many accolades, including an invitation from Hollywood for her beauty pageant.
