I was trapped within myself
Stillness took over sadness
Loneliness the keyword
Scared inside, couldn’t see the promises of life.

So cold, powerless, and numb
Thoughts move in and out of subconscious
Tearing me apart without reason
Can I ever see further down the street ?

Horizon lights are growing dimmer and dimmer
Paths are becoming darker and darker
Oh, God! be with me always
Show me the light of life.

Knowing that l have to go further
Leaving my numbness, trying to feel great
I make my day with my own smile
Because I love myself.
